Summer Zoo Camp for ages K-5th grade
Dino-Mite:
Dinosaurs may be extinct, but their story lives on! Campers will learn how dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and how they survived then compare those traits to animals that live in zoos and in habitats today. Campers will investigate fossils, adaptations, and evidence that links dinosaurs to modern animals through hands-on activities, games, and zoo exploration.
Colorful Creatures:
From shimmering scales to striking feathers, campers will explore how animals use color to hide, hunt, and communicate. Campers will create colorful animal-inspired art, play games that show why being colorful can be a superpower in the animal kingdom.
Wild About Wildlife:
Campers will learn how to become global wildlife guardians as they explore animals, habitats and conservation efforts at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Everyday includes hands-on activities that explore climate change and human impact on our planet. Campers will leave ready to take action to make the world a better place.
