Week 1 - Awesome Anatomy & Adaptations

Your Junior Zoologist will work with Fresno Chaffee Zoo Education Staff and Fresno Chaffee Zoological Care Specialists to learn all about animal care. Through engaging activities, interactive workshops, and hands-on experiences, campers will forge meaningful connections between anatomy, adaptations, and the diverse array of creatures that call our zoo home. From observing animal behaviors to learning about specialized adaptations for survival, each day promises new and exciting discoveries. 

Week 2 - Extraordinary Ecosystem Engineers

Your Junior Zoologist will work with Fresno Chaffee Zoo Education Staff and Fresno Chaffee Zoological Care Specialists to learn all about animal care. Through interactive activities, campers will unravel symbiotic relationships and increase the biodiversity that exists within the animal kingdom. Week 3 - Incredible and Invasive Species Week

Your Junior Zoologist will work with Fresno Chaffee Zoo Education Staff and Fresno Chaffee Zoological Care Specialists to learn all about animal care. Your Junior Zoologist will delve into the fascinating yet concerning world of invasive species, from the nuisance of European starlings and green crabs to the menacing presence of Burmese pythons, Small Indian mongooses, and even the unexpected impact of house cats! Through engaging activities, hands-on exploration, and interactive workshops, campers will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges posed by invasive species and explore strategies for prevention, management, and conservation.
