Program Details

In celebration of the Zoo's first-ever African elephant calves, we are hosting a matching gift fundraiser. 
 
Elephant babyproofing looks a lot like babyproofing your own home--just on a much larger scale! Extra barriers help prevent calves from wandering into unwanted spaces while pool renovations will help us provide safe places for the calves to explore the water as they grow.
 
Outside of the elephants' spaces, expanded medical capabilities were invaluable for tracking Nolwazi and Amahle’s health throughout their pregnancy and will continue to support the unique care needs of infant elephants.
 
A handful of generous donors have stepped forward to help support these renovations with a matching challenge where every dollar donated from supporters like you is matched up to $100,000!
 
All proceeds support 2024 baby elephant preparations.
